What we do

Support shaped by the people who need it

Every session is built around peer connection, practical help, and quiet dignity. You can arrive without a referral, without an appointment, and without any expectation of you.

  • Weekly drop-in sessions

Full-day Tuesdays and half-day Thursdays at Porth Plaza. Peer support, activities, and a hot drink.

  • Arts, crafts & activities

Therapeutic, creative, and gentle. No pressure, no expectations — just a place to relax together.

  • Workshops that matter

Budgeting, digital skills, fraud awareness, NHS home safety, and more — delivered by trusted local partners.

  • Practical help & signposting

Food parcels, referrals to Citizens Advice, Social Services, Shift Together, Vitality Therapies, and other local support.

Who it's for

For carers, for the cared-for, for anyone in between.

People living with ill health or disability

Members live with conditions including Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's, brain injuries, strokes, cancer, and hydrocephalus — but at Gelli Life, you're among friends, not a diagnosis.

Our weekly sessions offer companionship, gentle activities, and a warm meal in a space that is genuinely yours.

Unpaid carers of all ages

From young carers to those caring for partners, parents, or children with complex needs — you carry a lot. Here you can set it down for a while.

A place to breathe, to talk, to be understood by people who genuinely get it. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

You don't need a referral. Just turn up, or call Susan first if you'd like to chat.
